Belvai Dec 24, 2023: Christmas Night Mass is a significant event for many Christians, marking the culmination of the Advent season and the beginning of the Christmas celebration. It is a time for reflection, joy, and community, as people come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus and its message of hope, love, and peace.
Parishioners participated in the Festal Mass in large numbers which was concelebrated by our Parish Priest Rev. Fr Joseph Alphonse Cardoza, along with Rev. Fr Francis Fernandes SVD of our parish and guest priest Rev. Fr Dolpy Sequeira.
Rev. Fr Francis Fernandes delivered the feast homily and concluded with a beautiful hymn.
Christmas Carols: Traditional carols sung by the choir and congregation fill the church with joyful music. Popular carols include "Joy to the World," "Silent Night," and "O Come, All Ye Faithful."
Christmas Night was followed after Mass jointly organized by ICYM & Catholic Sabha Belvai Unit.
A big moment of Joy for Belvai Parishioners was when the Official Website of our Parish was launched- www.stmartinchurchbelvai.in. The website was designed by Wilson Pereira Belvai & is Sponsored by Waxen Pereira.
All 7 Wards Participated in the Inter-Ward Variety Competitions. Prizes of different competitions held prior were distributed.
In all, it was a fun-filled night. Christ King Ward emerged as Champion & Holy Rosary Ward the Runner Up.
The church was grandly illuminated and increased the beauty of the Christmas Night
