Vehicles Blessings of Parishioners held on Nov 5, 2023

Belvai Nov 5, 2023: The Belvai Parish community gathered to participate in a vehicle blessing ceremony, a practice that has been observed by the parish for many years. The ceremony, held at the St. Martin De Porres Church, was a deeply meaningful event that brought together parishioners to seek divine protection for their vehicles, their journeys, and the safety of all road users. 

The blessing ceremony commenced following the first Mass of the day. Rev. Fr Joseph Cardoza, the parish priest, led the congregation in prayers and invocations and proceeded to bless vehicles. He sprinkled holy water on the vehicles, symbolizing purification and divine protection.
