Inauguration and Blessing of New Grotto of Most Holy Redeemer 

Belvai, October 5, 2025: A solemn and joyous occasion marked the inauguration and blessing of the newly built grotto of the Most Holy Redeemer. 

Rev. Fr Henry Sequeira led the blessing ceremony and oversaw the installation of the statue, which had been previously blessed by Archbishop Varghese Chakkalakal of the Calicut Archdiocese.

Soon after the Sunday Mass, the statue of the Most Holy Redeemer was taken in a procession led by ward heads. The grotto was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a blessing prayer. The newly blessed statue was then installed in the grotto, and dragon fruit plants were planted by the guest priests and ward heads, symbolizing growth and renewal.

The event was graced by the presence of Rev. Dr Micheal Santhumayor, Parish Priest Rev. Fr Joseph Alphonse Cardoza, Parish Council Members, and a large gathering of parishioners. The ceremony reflected deep spiritual significance and community unity, celebrating faith and devotion in a beautifully crafted sacred space.
