Ward Fest 2025

Belvai October 05, 2025:  The members of Holy Rosary Ward celebrated their Ward Feast on October 5, 2025, at the residence of Mr. Praveen Mascharenhas.

The celebration began with a thanksgiving Mass, with the liturgy conducted by the ward members. In honor of the feast, the statue of Mother Mary was carried in a devout procession from the residence of Mr. Rosario Menezes to Mr. Praveen Mascharenhas’ house.

The event was graced by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Alphonse Cardoza, Parish Council Vice President Mrs. Lavina Cardoza, Secretary Mrs. Jacintha Rego, 21 Commissions Coordinator Mrs. Veera Pereira, Convent Superior Sr. Evlyn Crasta, and Rtd. Nb/Subedar Gilbert Madtha.

The formal program commenced with a prayer song and short prayer, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Flowers were then offered to Mother Mary.

The ward secretary Anitha Mascharenhas presented the annual report. A student from the ward who excelled in the 10th Board Examination was felicitated. Mr. Ivan Cardoza was also honored for his selfless service to the community and ward members.

In addition, one family received medical aid assistance, and special prize were awarded to members for attending all Small Christian Community (SCC) monthly ward meetings. Sponsors of the feast were appreciated and felicitated, and winners of various games were also presented with prizes. Sumudai Gheet (community song) was sung by the ward members. 

Fr. Joseph Cardoza, Sr. Evlyn Crasta, and Mrs. Lavina Cardoza addressed the gathering and extended their best wishes to the ward members. 

Ward Head Mrs. Zita Lobo welcomed the gathering, Mrs. Veena Nazareth proposed the vote of thanks, Mr. Jeevan Pinto compered the event, and Mrs. Priya Quadros conducted the game.

The celebration concluded joyfully with a delicious dinner shared among all.
